Elvis Depressedly – “Holo Pleasures”

The new record from Elvis Depressedly sees Mat Cothran embrace a band setup with his ‘two best friends’ [another friend of his is releasing the album]. He moves on from the acoustic tendencies of last years brilliantly melancholic Hotter Sadness record [quickly avoiding a likely influx of indie film makers waving an empty soundtrack at him] and gets fuzzed, breathless and haunting. It has the same impact as my first listen to A Grave With No Name’s Mountain Debris album and simply must be listened to. Holo Pleasures is available on Birdtapes.
