Live Art Lab: Bearhaus

What

Temporary happenings involving a lot of furry bear hats.

When

Available to book.

Moogie Wonderland’s pop-up live art ‘Bearhaus’ happenings create temporary live art movements, where everyone wears a furry bear hat and dances/improvises/carries on as normal, and then takes their bear hat home to continue being a Bearhaus artist whenever they want.

The temporary Bearhaus movements are formed by attendees of the event, who wear a bear hat, and are invited to write the manifesto and be the artists. The happenings incorporate ideas of ritual, community and participation. Originally created in 2017 as part of a commission by Newlyn Art Gallery, you can now book a Bearhaus happening which includes DJs (choose from ‘hip hop, funk and soul’ or ‘indiepop, french pop and library music’) or you can book your own DJs.
